Back To Charleston Lake
A brief foray into Charleston Lake
May Long weekend in Canada can be beautiful sun or snowing. It just depends on the year. Perfect timing to camp overnight on Charleston Lake. We were blessed with a good weather window. Cool overnight and I was just wishing for shorts when I got off trail.

We got a late start after work and hiked out to our site. The Slim Bay bridge was damaged in the winter and the trail is no longer a loop but luckily we were in the last site BEFORE the bridge.
With Juno in tow we made it to camp quickly and was able to test out my new gear. The Water Filter, sleeping bag and air mattress were set up and we still had time for smores. The campfire to keep us warm and we enjoyed a clear night. It is still May in Canada so it was chilly overnight and the mornings' coffee was crisp.
A perfect debug trip to test gear and have a bit of fun. We are ready for the wilds of Algonquin in a few weeks.
