A taste of Spring
Ah, tulips. To the untrained eye, they might just be another pretty flower, but to me, they are a marvel. Every spring, these botanical wonders signal not only the onset of warmer weather but also the commencement of the sailing season.
Each fall, I see the bulbs at the garden stores and consider planting some. Come spring, I never quite remember if I've planted any extras.
This year, the abundance of greenery certainly suggests that I had a successful planting operation last fall. The suspense is palpable, as I have no recollection of the specific colors planted last fall.
As I look out at all the green leaves and stems to await the reveal, I'm relishing discovering the unknown.
